StudyBlue.com's Fall 2009 Reward Program
Royal Blue Program gives users that use quality files to give crowns to the student that uploaded the file. Everyone can see the number of crowns you have earned and will show your royal status. There is also a leaderboard for your school and the entire StudyBlue.com network. The crowns are different for the number of users that find the quality files valuable. The student earns 1 crown for every 3 users that find the quality file valuable [3 or 4 stars] . Crown chart shows different crowns for 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 50, 100, and 500. The top 3 students in each school earn $100 at the end of the semester.
Fall 2009 Jump Start Rewards Program
Incentive for students to share study material and invite friends to the site. The limit for each student this semester is 300 dollars. There is a weekly limit on the amount of money the school users can earn, so at the end of the week the amount of money in the weekly cash pot is low. For every 3 classmates giving positive rating [3 or 4 stars] or earning 1 crown gives $0.50. An online that has auto-generated flashcard decks earns double bonus. There is a limit to the number of bonus per note or deck, which is 2 Bonuses. No content limit. Referrals for classmates earn you $1.00, but an extra $1.00 is also given if the classmate converts to Premium Services within 48 hours. Invite friends using your code through flyers and email. The balance can be cashed out when the student reaches $25.00 and it takes up to 15 business days for completion of Paypal transfer.
There are specific criteria for both programs:
1. Must attend one of these schools:
Arizona State University – Tempe, Belmont University, Brown University, Cornell University, Duke University, Illinois State University, Iowa State University, Marquette University, Michigan State University, Middle Tennessee State University, Ohio State University – All Campuses, Rutgers University – New Brunswick/Piscataway, Stanford University, Tennessee State University, University of Alabama – Tuscaloosa, University of Georgia, University of Iowa, University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, University of Tennessee – Chattanooga, University of Tennessee – Knoxville, University of Virginia, University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, Vanderbilt University, University of California – Berkeley, University of Washington – Seattle Campus, Pennsylvania State University – All Campuses, University of Arizona, Texas Tech University, University of Colorado-Boulder, Kansas State University, Syracuse University
2. Positive rating from a classmate. What's a classmate defined by:
A. User enrolled in same school as the student receiving rating.
B. User enrolled in the course the quality file is part of.
C. User has to have the same course in the StudyBlue.com profile when he or she rates the file.
D. The rating must be the first and only for the user for that file.

Isleptthroughclass.com Transfers Users to Wisecampus.com with VIP Program
Wisecampus.com has a VIP program for students that pay an annual fee of $9.95 to get special features and better recognition to the staff and classmates. VIP program has a reward catalog giving special amount of points for paypal transfers. (Probably lower points compared to regular members) VIP members have unlimited note requests, complete access and ability to get email alerts for notes.
I think the idea toward paying programs is the result of the slow economy and price of ads being down. Small ads can't pay for big sites like these, so no more big rewards for notes. I think this is going to lead to users leaving the site for better note sharing websites.

Isleptthroughclass.com and Wisecampus.com Upgrade Caused Site Downtime
Hopefully wisecampus.com will be ready soon, but I was hoping that they announce the new features. Confusion has risen because of the two sites among users.
StudyBlue.com Premium Service
StudyBlue.com users are not going to pay for notes, especially when the similar level of service is free everywhere else. I think that free users are going to change to the other note sharing websites. StudyBlue.com may think they have enough course material for students to pay for, but I think only a small percentage of students will pay for the files. Students are just going to upload there content to other note sharing sites, where they can exchange lectures, exams, outlines, presentations, study guides and other forms of media for free. I have figured out a way to download pages of the files without premium service. More on this later.
A brief summary of the new tools and features is described below:
Premium users can now import flashcard decks using excel file and even merge multiple decks into one deck. Premium users can study with flashcards, quizzes and brain games with a study schedule. Premium users get RSS feeds for updates from StudyBlue.com delivered to user’s inbox. Students can now upload multiple files and even record audio and video notes for review later on StudyBlue.com. Files and flashcards are now downloadable and printable for premium members only. The premium service gives iPhone and iPod Touch users a StudyBlue app, which enables college and high school students to access study materials from StudyBlue.com anywhere you go. While walking to class or riding the bus, one can review notes and breeze through flashcards while the app automatically syncs with your StudyBlue.com account. The app enables downloading and reviewing of notes, images, audio and video files. StudyBlue.com users receive text messages to remind users when to study based on the study schedule.

1st Post - Introduction
Hello and Welcome to the Blog for Making Money with College Notes.
I have started this blog to provide tips and tricks to making the most money out of the notes one takes in college. I’ll provide a list of note sharing websites along with the pros, cons and the amount of money per note on the websites. I’ll also write blog posts on new features and updates to note sharing websites along with promotions and bonus points going on.
I have made over 2300 dollars in cash, awards and prizes over 6 note sharing websites. I want students to take advantage of the immense amount of resources to get good grades in college. I used the multiple opportunities to pay for food since the beginning of 2009 and shopping for gifts.
I encourage people to leave comments/concerns/advice and to know the agreement/disagreement/anger/excitement/etc. about the issues facing both the users and different note sharing websites.
